The Sheffield Autism Partnership Network is hosted by Voluntary Action Sheffield
Create a space to make organisations aware of opportunities to increase their knowledge and capacity, give them access to funding, have the opportunity for collective action and build relationships within the VCSE community. Create safe spaces for Autistic people with lived experiences, and the people that care for and about them, to have their voices heard to make changes to services and support.
Actively support connections with the statutory sectors, by creating a place for them to directly hear the voices of Autistic individuals, their support systems and VCSE organisations who work closely with and for them. Provide a place where decision makers can gain better intelligence and understanding that will shape more informed decision-making practices that optimise positive impacts on Autistic individuals in Sheffield.
Share knowledge and develop resources to educate and promote Autism acceptance, Autism –friendly service interfaces and knowledge and awareness of Autism across the Sheffield area. Reduce the stigma Autistic people face by supporting campaigns around public awareness and promoting the correct terminology used, with a view to reduce ableism/disablism.
Reduce the crisis facing Autistic adults and their support systems in communities across Sheffield.
