VAS, SAPN, and Sheffield Voices worked together on a six-month project to learn what kind of support people of all ages in Sheffield need to live well with ADHD.
We wanted to hear from people about their experiences and what could help them or those they care about.
By sharing our connections through SAPN and Sheffield Voices, our knowledge of health and social care systems, and our experiences with community involvement, we created an online survey and held some face-to-face sessions to gather people’s opinions and feedback.
People from the ADHD community in Sheffield then helped us analyse the data, and we used their interpretations to shape our findings.
Recommendations from what we heard about can also be found at the end of this report, which can be downloaded at the link below.

SAPN and the MHPN worked together on creating a new suicide prevention programme led by the VCFSE sector. Our networks provided us with access to specialist VCFSE providers, trusted cross-sector relationships, community insights, and lived experience perspectives that statutory partners often find hard to reach.
We collaborated with individuals and organisations to create a pilot programme where organisations could nominate a staff member to attend free Suicide Prevention training and join an ongoing support network.
